Desktop client guide
Use the Lumoswitch desktop client for new Agent model connections. It keeps the connection flow in one place and lets you review the proposed setup before it is applied.
Download and open the client
Download Lumoswitch for your platform, install it, and open the application. Sign in if the client asks you to do so, then keep your Lumoswitch Access Key available if the connection flow requests it.
Connect a model to an Agent
- Choose the model connection you want the Agent to use.
- Choose the coding Agent you want to connect. The client shows the connection options it supports for that Agent.
- Review the proposed configuration, including the model connection and any local setup details.
- Confirm the setup only after the preview matches the connection you intend to create.
The client does not assume every Agent is installed, signed in, or available on your computer. Follow any client guidance for the specific Agent before confirming.
Verify the connection
Open the connected Agent and run a small, non-sensitive request. Confirm that it uses the expected Lumoswitch model connection, then return to the client to review or change the connection when needed. If verification fails, check the selected model connection, Access Key, and the Agent's own availability before trying again.
Existing manual setups
Older terminal and manual configuration guides remain available for maintaining an existing setup. They are deprecated for new connections; prefer the desktop client whenever possible.
Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot Lumoswitch authentication, model, routing, limit, and usage issues. Check URLs and status codes, then share request IDs and sanitized details with support.
Agent setup
Connect coding agents to Lumoswitch with the Base URL, Access Key, model, and protocol. Compare clients and follow setup, launch, and removal instructions.
