Lumoswitch Docs

Desktop user guide

Lumoswitch brings model connections, Agent configuration and everyday AI tools into one desktop app. Work on a task in a workspace, or configure models, Skills and MCP for an Agent you already use.

New here? Start with your first task. If you already use an Agent, go to Agent management.

Understand the connection types

  • Local configuration: this computer manages the connection and routing. Cloud provider models still receive requests over the network; local routing does not mean offline inference.
  • Online configuration: Lumoswitch's online service manages the connection. Platform models and your own provider keys have different billing rules; check the connection and billing screens.
  • Agent configuration: apply a selected connection to a tool. Discovering an Agent does not guarantee managed installation or support for writing every setting.

Keep Lumoswitch running when using its bundled local gateway. Closing a window and fully quitting the app are different; see model connections.

Scope and availability

These guides cover the desktop app, not the mobile interface. Available controls depend on the app version, operating system, deployment and target Agent. If a control is missing, check the version and on-screen guidance rather than forcing an old command into the configuration.

Chinese and English are documentation languages; CN and GLOBAL are service deployments. They are not interchangeable. Sign-in, payments and service availability follow what your site and app actually offer.

Check your version and feature entries

Find the version in Settings → About. Use these entries to check which features your installed client offers. Features arrive in stages, and web features also depend on the service deployment.

FeatureCheck in your installed client
On-device model routingModels → This device offers Add models and Manage sources. The lower direct-connections section is a different setup flow.
QQ Big FishPlaybooks offers Big Fish creation and lets you select an available chat model.
Community petsCommunity → Desktop pets or Settings → Desktop pet → Discover more is available. Web publishing depends on the entries offered by the site.

If an entry is missing, follow the version checks in Help. Keep existing configurations and app data while updating.

Existing connections and older guides

Cloud APIs remain available. Their instructions are retained in the cloud quickstart, API configurations and API reference.

Older manual Agent setup guides retain their content and URLs for maintaining existing connections. Prefer the desktop client for new connections. Do not delete existing configurations or application data just to follow a new guide.
